Accounting Coordinator

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the duties outlined below:_
- Responsible for Accounts Payable and back up for Accounts Receivable functions
- Accurately process a high volume of invoices for payment through our ERP system, consistently adhering to designated timelines
- Match Invoices to receiver accruals and process payments
- Process employee expense reports and issue reimbursement cheques
- Process freight and duty payables matching invoices to accruals
- Ensuring the timely payment of all invoices in accordance with company policies with weekly payment runs (EFT/Wire/Cheque)
- Conduct monthly vendor statement reconciliations
- Complete monthly G/L balance sheet account reconciliations
- Calculate and timely submit monthly accruals for unposted non-PO invoices
- Responding and resolving of questions and/or issues in regards to invoices and invoice payments
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and process related journal entries
- Process monthly GST/HST returns
- Complete Statistics Canada surveys as required
- Other duties as assigned
**DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS -_Experience, Education, Training & Technical Requirements_**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role is required
- At least 2 years accounting experience in a consumer packaged goods/retail environment is preferred
- College Diploma or University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of GST/HST
- Strong data entry skills and Advanced level with MS Excel
- Solid prior experience with accounting system & software is required
- Experience with processing invoices using an ERP system
- Demonstrated knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures in accounting
- Superior organization and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Solid Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
