The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is one of two branches of government that provide oversight for the beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis industries in the province. The LDB is responsible for the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis, and operates the retails brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores.

In Human Resources (HR), we support a large, distributed organization with a range of services from our Talent & Compensation, Organizational Development & Change, Employee Relations and Investigations, and Occupational Health and Safety teams. **About this role**:
The Learning Advisor plans, develops, implements and evaluates training and education initiatives and provides performance consulting services to individuals, groups, and teams within the organization. This includes the facilitation of cross-functional teams and process improvements all of which supports the LDB’s current learning and development model. A criminal record check is required.

**Position requirements**:
**Education and Experience**:

- Degree or diploma in human resource management, business, education or related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of recent, experience (having occurred in the last 5 years) as a corporate Learning Advisor, Performance Consultant, Learning & Development Specialist, Instructional Designer or Public School Teacher.
- Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PIDP) or Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education (CACE).
- Experience in the end-to-end planning, design, delivery and evaluation of learning and development programs or projects.
- Project management experience.
- Experience designing and delivering technical, customer service/sales, compliance, developmental and leadership training/programs in a variety of modes including: in-person, eLearning, video, virtual instructor-led and self-directed learning.
- Experience providing learning and development services to corporate, distribution center and retail environments.
- Two or more years’ experience in product education for liquor, specifically WSET course facilitation and exam adjudication.
