The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is one of two branches of government that provide oversight for the beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis industries in the province. The LDB is responsible for the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis, and operates the retails brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores.

In Human Resources (HR), we support a large, distributed organization with a range of services from our Talent & Compensation, Organizational Development & Change, Employee Relations and Investigations, Organizational Health and Safety and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion teams. **About this role**:
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Director, Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) leads a team of professionals delivering a variety of programs and services across a diverse retail, wholesale, and corporate organization. The Director works with the executive leadership team to develop and advance a strategic plan to create and support a culture that values and prioritizes reconciliation, equity, diversity, and inclusiveness. The Director uses evidence-based strategies to ensure program design and delivery meets the needs of the organization and is accountable for ensuring alignment of practices with government direction and priorities.

The Director is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for researching, developing, implementing and maintaining a range of programs, practices, and initiatives, and for developing methods to assess the impact and effectiveness of programs. The Director ensures effective communication with all levels of the organization, and champions REDI practices with senior leadership.

**Position requirements**:
**Education and Experience**:

- Degree or diploma in a related field such as social sciences, human rights, human resources, or business administration.
- Five years of recent, related experience* at a senior management level with extensive experience in strategy development and designing or managing programs relating to reconciliation, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Experience leading and developing a team of professionals as a direct supervisor, including senior level advisor staff.
- Recent, related experience is defined as occurring in the last 10 years.
- Demonstrated experience in leading business transformation, process improvement, and change management initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing credible programs and services to meet organizational strategic goals and needs.
- Experience in a large, unionized environment, including experience providing consultative advice to executive leadership, human resource practitioners, managers and supervisors.
