Nisku, Canada Norellco Contractors Ltd. Full time

Norellco Contractors, a Heavy Roadbuilding Construction Company is looking for detail orientated Summer Student for our Accounts Payable Department. This position is responsible for multiple financial activities relating to account payable functions which must be completed timely and accurately.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Review all invoices and receipts for appropriate documentation and approval.
- Completing data entry of vendor invoices in a timely manner.
- Verify accuracy of vendor accounts and review/correct any discrepancies.
- Research accounts payable issues, maintain good account and vendor relations.
- Respond to all vendor requests related to payment in a timely manner.
- Process cheque runs, submit for signatures.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Manage/Set up credit accounts with vendors.
- Maintain filing system for all accounts payable.
- Assist as required with Accounts Receivable.
- Answering and placing calls in a pleasant professional manner using a multi-line phone system, redirecting calls and taking messages as required.
- Handling incoming/outgoing mail, courier and faxes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Post Secondary Student currently enrolled in Accounting
- Accounts payable knowledge and skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Professional including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
- Experience with Sage 50 an asset.
- Integrity and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
- Sound judgement and positive decision making skills.
- Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner.
- Safety oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work extra hours as needed.
- Own transportation required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
