Our team works alongside program managers in both talent acquisition (recruiting) and leadership development to create and manage programs that support career progression and engagement.
about this role
Reporting to the Manager, Talent Activation, this role is critical in unlocking our ability to leverage the wealth of internal talent across the organization by providing programs that support them in developing the most sought-after skills in the organization.
a day in the life
This role wakes up every day thinking about how we develop our internal talent to increase engagement in their current role, and ready them for future roles. This role has a global, enterprise perspective and holds the pen in defining global philosophy, programs, frameworks, and processes to enable internal talent acceleration.
- Work with the Manager, Talent Activation to create a strategy for internal talent acceleration programs, including building the foundation for a skills ontology to enable the future of internal talent mobility
- Consult with People & Culture Business Partners (HR) and Talent Acquisition (Recruiting) globally to stay connected to business needs and provide recommendations on how to leverage stretch assignments and the talent marketplace to enhance skill development for internal employees
- Define program requirements and work cross-functionally to design, develop and deliver talent acceleration programs globally
- Partner with P&C Digital and Technology to provide clear business requirements to enable the future of talent acceleration digitally
- Research and provide thought leadership with respect to internal talent acceleration and talent management
- Identify KPIs for internal talent acceleration programs, and work with People Analytics team to analyze and report out on impact quarterly/annually
- Project manage timelines and deliverables, including implementation plans and change management
academic / educational
- 5+ years in talent management or HR business partnering
- 3+ years in program management, project management and/or operational leadership
required skills and experiences
- Expertise in job and skill architecture and taxonomy, people analytics, and talent intelligence
- Functional expertise in talent management, performance management, employee engagement, succession planning, employee and career development, organizational design and employee onboarding an asset
- Demonstrates a solid track record of professional project management, strategic thinking, and planning
- Strong business acumen and systems thinking
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills, including stakeholder and senior leadership engagement
