$101,300 to $119,200 (Union Exempt, Grade 9)

1.0 Regular (permanent)

Reporting to the General Manager of Learning Support Services, the Program Manager is responsible to develop, organize and direct the delivery of equitable, inclusive and culturally responsive social work services. Internal and external stakeholders are consulted to promote the understanding of social determinants of mental health for student achievement and well-being in alignment with the strategic objectives of the OCDSB.

Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) is required.

Knowledge of social work theory and practice; and thorough knowledge of the educational system and community services.

Direct experience in the delivery of social work services.

Highly developed communication skills (verbal and written) for making presentations, or developing specialized reports/documents.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
Management experience including ability to lead, supervise and direct staff and programs.

Valid Class G driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for travel to schools and administrative sites is required.
