Lead the growth and expansion of our programs with a specific focus on Education Program and Best Management Practices in support of our strategic priorities.
**ROLE DESCRIPTION**
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Global Programs, this coordinator full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and implementation of programs such as Education, Sustainability, Invasive Species, Habitattitude and Industry B2B shows to promote and increase the visibility for Pets Canada globally. The right person for this position is extremely curious about "how to improve the way we do things" and must be able to tell the Pets Canada story in new and engaging ways, exceptionally well in both official languages in written and spoken situations.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist in the development and implementation of a fully integrated Education System and all programs’ content and training activities.
- Participate in the Education Committee and provide support to the team
- Asist in maintaining the education database and update with new content when required
- Track progress, evaluate results and provide program certificates to members upon completion
- Assist in the development and growth of all Global Programs
- Maintain professional communication with partners and key program stakeholders.
- Provide technical support to students to ensure that they have the resources they need to complete the course successfully.
- Assist with the organization and implementation of trade shows
- Assist in the coordination and collaboration with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada to secure funding for activities abroad and produce the reports required to meet funding requirements;
- Work with the manager and the trade commissioners to develop targeted international activities;
- Collaborate with the Association's communications team to develop event marketing, sponsorship and communications messages for all global programs;
- Support the preparation of invoicing, reimbursement form, receipt of invoices and preparation of cheques for signature;
- Support the Sr. Manager, Global Programs in the overall management of global programs
- Remains flexible to complete other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Senor Leadership Team.
**QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES**
- English/French bilingualism is essential
- Education/Experience -degree in a related field including education, business development, event coordination with 3 years work experience.
- Knowledge of animal welfare in Canada an asset
- Experience in program and project management, previous experience with not-for-profit work, an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal skills in both English and French (ability to confidently translate, an asset).
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to establish efficient work processes and systems.
- Experience navigating integrated programs with internal and external audiences.
- Ability to work under pressure and produce high quality accurate work in a timely manner, often to deadline.
- Ability to exercise initiative and self-motivation and, at the same time, work effectively in a team environment.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people, internal and external to the organization.
- Continuously learning - proposing new ideas to better our social reach and engagement. Bringing new technology/strategic opportunities to the association for consideration.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva (incl. video creation), WordPress.
**ADDITIONAL ROLE INFORMATION**
- Occasional travel within Canada may be required
- Employer paid health benefits package
**COMPENSATION**
- Range $50,000 to $55,000, determined based on experience and proven track record.
