TES is a small, construction equipment repair company with 10 employees including 7 mechanics. The genesis was the back shop/equipment manager for Arnott Construction Ltd. which remains the number one customer and owner. The number of new customers increased from ten to over 40 in eight months and continues to increase, mainly from word of mouth from satisfied customers. This position requires the incumbent to work from the Midhurst office and will report to the General Manager.

**Service Manager**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Liaises with customers and service providers to determine customer needs and manages customer issues
- Schedules repairs and services ensuring optimum customer satisfaction
- Works with customers to resolve any complaints / issues
- Advises customers if repair or service appointment is late or needs to be canceled due to urgent priorities
- Delegates work based on customer priorities and maximizes billable hours
- Ensures that all repairs and services are complete and signs off on work orders
- Manages and maintains quality systems; identifying and correcting quality issues when required
- Assists the Parts Coordinator as required to ensure timely completion of work orders
- Provides technical and repair support, as required
- Assists with the sourcing of diagnostic testing of auto / truck / heavy equipment, when required
- Completes and submits all paperwork in a timely manner
- Understands budgetary responsibilities, works with General Manager to set and obtain daily/weekly/monthly goals
- Uses strong organizational and customer service skills when dealing with customers and vendors
- Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment
- Works in a safe manner and promotes safety to all team members
- Sets-up and organizes individual work area with designated supplies, forms and resources materials while maintaining cleanliness at all times
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards
- Maintains client and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education and/or certification in a related field
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar or related field
- An advanced level of knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Extensive technical knowledge of Trucks / Heavy Equipment / Passenger & Light Truck, the ordering process and service administration in the industry
- Excellent problem solving & conflict resolution skills
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented & excellent organizational & multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently & effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines
- Ability to maintain and manage quality standards
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of pertinent data
