Closures Technical Centre, a division of Magna International Inc., is focused on the design, development and testing of Mechatronics products for the automotive industry. We are currently looking for students in the Information Technology field for a 4-month co-op placement starting in the summer.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Undertakes the daily Document Control activities of the Change Management Process
- Provides assistance to company personnel on the documentation and Change Management process when necessary and as experience permits
- Performs validation testing on proposed updates and changes to the Change Management process
- Assists and coordinates, when necessary, identifying, reporting, researching, and resolving customer (internal/external) problems/concerns
- Assists, when necessary, in the daily activities related to internal & external data integrity
- Understands and follows existing policies, procedures, work instructions and standards and makes recommendations for continuous improvements
- Update and maintain internal Teamcenter with data supplied by divisional customers that are not Teamcenter capable
- Translate data for engineering teams
- Store translated data in read only folders
- Manage read only folders archiving older data revisions that are read only
- Provide teams with Teamcenter support
- Update documentation
- Assist in the validation of new initiatives
- Assist engineering teams through a work request process
- Modify simple designs
- Help with change management support
- Drafting assistance as requested and scheduled
- Build electrical engineering BOMs
- Follows CAD file management best practices and individual CAD file data integrity, based on company standards
- Ensures accurate execution of assignments related to engineering change notices while maintaining proper revision levels and change sequencing
- Willing to learn skills in CAD techniques (e.g., solid modelling, assembly management / manipulation, drafting, parametrics, etc.)

**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Enrolled in or completion of post-secondary diploma/certificate in an engineering related field of study
- Basic understanding of documentation, databases and traceability
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Builds rapport with internal customers
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task while consistently maintaining accuracy/attention to detail.
- Willing to learn CAD technology for data file & change management, modeling, assembly, detailing, drafting, GD&T, and drawing releases
- Able to present technical information in a clear manner
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Teams) or equivalent
