About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student working towards an Engineering degree to join our Electro Mechanical Systems team as a Co-op. This 12-month placement will provide you with hands-on experience in the design, development, and testing of Mechatronics products for the automotive industry.

Your Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of simple plans, designs, calculations, costs, and bills of material in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings, or other specifications.
  • Support the complete development of designated products, including design, build, and test activities, in accordance with standard operating procedures and the product delivery process.
  • Conduct routine technical surveys or inspections and prepare reports.
  • Support customer requirements, regulations, and product specifications into the design of designated products, ensuring compliance with operational, cost, timing, safety, reliability, quality, and manufacturing feasibility parameters.
  • Analyze products and formulate engineering conclusions by applying engineering and/or mathematical principles and tools.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Write and compile engineering content for various deliverables, including engineering specifications and documentation.
  • Consult and collaborate with personnel in various engineering and design activities relative to product development requirements.
  • Support CAE activities and perform hand calculations.
  • Support effective communications within the project team and the customer, supplier, manufacturing, and quality communities.
