As a Key Sales / Business Development leader, your main responsibilities will include working with the sales team to grow existing accounts and developing new customer engagements in accordance with Syntronic core capability offerings of engineering services in different technology market areas such as Telecom, Automotive, Consumer, Industrial, Medtech and more.

The Head of Sales will be required to work with customers to understand their requirements and business challenges and work with internal technical and leadership teams to service the requirements/requests including preparing and presenting proposals to customers.

The responsibilities will also include researching and identifying new customer targets, presenting Syntronic value add / proposition and ensuring customers are satisfied with the service Syntronic is providing.

**What you'll need to get the job done**:

- Lead a team of business development professionals focused on driving sales for Syntronic in Canada
- Working with the team to drive pipelines across all stages of sales (prospecting, generation, award, relationship and account growth)
- A hands-on leader that can engage, manage and lead accounts directly.
- Working with the sales team to manage and grow existing customer accounts
- Proactively research and develop new business / engage new customers in relevant market areas in Canada
- Generate interest in Syntronic and open new customer engagements.
- Sell and present Syntronic capabilities and value add to customers
- Work with internal sales & engineering teams to support customer requests and develop compelling technical proposals.
- Develop (with engineering) and present clear and effective written proposals and quotations to customers
- Develop long-term relationships with strategic customers
- Organize client meetings and ensure that client's objectives, problems, and needs are fully understood
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Participate in and drive trade shows and convention activities
- Field inbound calls and/or leads.
- Travel when needed

**What will make us REALLY love you**:

- Bachelor´s or Master’s Degree or equivalent education. Engineering Degree is a plus.
- 7+ years of relevant sales experience is a must.
- Experience leading/managing a team of high-performing sales / technical sales individuals
- Experience selling either software or hardware engineering services in one or more market areas: Telecom, Automotive, Industrial, Consumer, MedTech, Connected Devices, IoT. Experience in production/manufacturing is a plus
- Background in HW or SW design and development is a huge plus.
- Experience in different business engagement models is a plus (i.e. project-based, resource-based, time based etc..)
- Proven experience in engagement and account growth
- Agile and highly organized. Able to address and manage and respond to multiple activities quickly.
- Background and knowledge of design services and sales of engineering services are a plus
- Proven sales track record of engaging new customers and growing existing customers in a high-paced environment.
- Resourceful, aptitude for problem-solving, ability to determine solutions for customers
- Results-orientated and able to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication. Fluency in English is required; fluency in French is an asset
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate product and service offerings, capabilities, and business value, including creating customer presentations.
- Ability to service multiple customer requests at a given time
- Ability to prepare proposals with Engineering in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying degrees of scope simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license and car
- High standards of ethical conduct
- Able to travel within Canada.
