**The Opportunity**
St. Paul's Hospital is currently seeking a second Patient Care Manager for its Road to Recovery Program.
**Road to Recovery**
Providence Health Care (PHC) Division of Addiction and the BC Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU) have co-developed the Road to Recovery (R2R) Initiative - an innovative new model to transform substance use care in BC. The initiative focuses on providing a full continuum of substance use care at St Paul’s Hospital.
Through the R2R, people who come to St Paul’s Hospital seeking addiction treatment will have access to a comprehensive, full range of evidence-based and culturally safe early recovery interventions including withdrawal management, stabilization care, transitional care, and long-term recovery services.

**Position Overview**
Reporting to the Program Director or Senior Manager, this key role provides operational leadership and support to interdisciplinary team members in the provision of quality care to patients/residents and their families. This position:
- maintains responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of services within specified sub-units of a large clinical program (in collaboration with a Physician Leader)
- provides leadership and supervision to interdisciplinary staff (Clinical Nurse Leader, Unit Supervisor(s) and/or equivalent nursing leadership roles) in unit(s) that provide direct care to patients/residents
- promotes and facilitates the continuum of care delivery—both internally and with external agencies—in alignment with the Program goals and strategic direction
- implements and uses quality improvement, utilization management, staff development and resource management strategies
This position works collaboratively within the Program Based Care Model and in concert with the Program Leaders, other Managers, Practice Leaders, Corporate and Support Leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree in a related Health Profession plus a minimum of five (5) years’ experience at the middle management level in a medium to large health care organization or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
