The Ontario Laboratory Medicine Program works closely with laboratory medicine experts across Ontario’s hospital and community laboratories, to develop and implement laboratory program initiatives to meet provincial laboratory and testing needs.

The OLMP Strategic Planning & Program Development team is looking for one (1) full time, permanent Specialist, Engagement to join our team to inform and support the engagement with laboratory medicine partners, and contribute to the development and implementation of programs and initiatives.

The Specialist, Engagement will play a significant role on a cross-functional team, supporting large-scale projects through collaborative work with internal and external groups. The Specialist has a strong grasp of communication both verbal and written, is resourceful and curious, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Drafting correspondences, coordinating activities with stakeholder groups, and driving program engagement are key components of this role, so we are seeking a strong team player who places high priority on collaboration, active listening, and building strong relationships.

Here is what you will be doing:
- Support and enable knowledge exchange and information sharing among internal and external stakeholders, integrating feedback and data to develop materials- Promote and facilitate collaborative forums and networks to share information- Contributes to the development of communication materials for internal and external groups- Engages stakeholder groups that represent different disciplines/groups, ensuring their concerns about relevant populations are represented- Prepares and presents materials for a broad range of audiences, including working groups, expert panels, senior-level decision-making tables- Works in collaboration with colleagues within the OLMP and other internal teams across Ontario Health on cross-functional, collaborative projects- Serves as the administrative liaison for OLMP expert panels- Develop innovative approaches for addressing team, project, and operational support needs- Identify and works with others to resolve issues related to laboratory medicine- Perform cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested

Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Health Informatics, Data Analytics or a related health care field; Master’s degree is an asset but not required- 3-5 years of experience required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge and Skills- A team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and a “can do” attitude- Excellent written, verbal, and visual/graphical communication skills, with ability to express complex concepts effectively- Critical thinking skills to proactively identify and manage project/initiative activities- Excellent PowerPoint and presentation/product-creation skills- Detail oriented with excellent organization and time management skills- Self-directed, with enthusiasm, initiative and demonstrated ability to work independently to deadlines- Knowledge of and familiarity with MS Office programs
