**Job Overview**

In this role, you will interact with the steel procurement team, your colleagues in supply chain roles, and external supplier contacts with the goal of supporting the supply of steel coils to our operation. You will participate in the procurement process by issuing and maintaining purchase orders through to their final reception.

**Responsibilities**
- Accurately create and manage purchase orders with external vendors.
- Review supplier acknowledgements, validations (price, quantity, delivery) against purchase orders for accuracy.
- Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Regularly follow-up on purchase orders with suppliers and steel mills for their expected production and shipment dates.
- Track shipments and maintain the system with the latest arrival information.
- Manage supplier documentation, such as order confirmations, packing lists, mill test certifications, etc., and follow established document management procedures.
- Perform packing list verifications to match materials to purchase orders, identifying any issues and seeking clarification when required.
- Coordinate available material releases for their intended destination with the logistics team.
- Compile and distribute purchase order information, reports or dashboards, for the steel supply chain as required.

**Qualifications**
- University degree or college diploma in business administration or related field. Equivalent experience and/or education will be considered.
- Designation Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or working towards a designation is an asset.
- Minimum of two years related work experience.
- Computer skills - knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and OneDrive. Ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Excellent attention to detail is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication - being bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with external vendors and colleagues.
- Experience in purchasing, supply chain and/or logistics is an asset.
- Steel knowledge, such as types of steel, steel grades and coatings is an asset.

**Salary**: From $55,000.00 per year
