Kotn is looking for a Merchandising Assistant to join the Merchandising & Planning team. As our Merchandising Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the merchandising team in various tasks related to product management, inventory control, and vendor coordination. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for the retail industry. The Merchandise Assistant will assist in assortment planning, purchase order management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of merchandising strategies.

**What you’ll be working on**:

- Assist in the development and execution of merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability
- Analyze sales trends, customer feedback, conduct competitor and market research to make informed merchandising decisions
- Support pricing strategies by analyzing market trends, competitor pricing, and cost structures
- Work closely with the Associate Merchant and Senior Director of Merchandising to build assortment plans and execute product launches and promotions.
- Create purchase orders and work with Supply Chain partners to track and ensure product deliveries are on-time
- Provide administrative support to the merchandising team and assist in the creation and maintenance of product catalogs and databases
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with other departments to coordinate merchandising efforts with marketing campaigns, promotions, and sales activities

**What you’ll bring**:

- Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, or a related field
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, proficiency in retail math
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive relationships with cross-functional and external partners
- 1-2 years of experience preferredEnthusiastic, can-do approach - No task too small attitude, willing to wear multiple hats in small team environment.
- Passionate about the future of fashion and manufacturing, with a strong understanding of the ethical fashion landscape.
