**Executive Assistant**

**Remote and on-site at a home office in Fairfield, Victoria BC.**

As a writer, teacher, artist, and founder of a company that offers online training in Sacred Deathcare, I need an EA. I’m looking for a smart, warm, capable, problem-solving person who can help me keep the many details of my personal and professional life running smoothly.

Key details:

- Contract, part time, ongoing position
- Begins January 2025 (or earlier, if you’d like)
- ~5 hours per week at the beginning, increasing to ~10 (or more) over time
- In person work will be between 9 and 5, M-F
- Remote work can be done on your own schedule
- Compensation commensurate with experience
- Reimbursement for business expenses included (e.g., fuel, mileage)

I value a healthy and friendly work environment, with well-organized systems and a commitment to good communication. I have 4 team members who say that I’m a great person to work for. I have two delightful cats and a great selection of herbal teas. This could be a lot of fun

**Responsibilities**
- Professional Support _
- Do basic and regular bookkeeping tasks (I have a bookkeeper and accountant, but need help with day-to-day maintenance. It’s all well organized, there’s just too much for me to manage.)
- Tech support person: fix my printer, resolve issues on my iOS devices, etc
- Pay bills and track expenses
- Take on various administrative and banking tasks (find me a new bookkeeper, review my insurance policy and let me know if I should update it, set up and maintain integrations between online banking and bookkeeping platforms, etc.)
- Occasionally support local live events
- Snap the occasional casual photo, format it, and post it to my IG account
- Etc., Etc., Etc.
- Personal Support _
- Take on random projects (sell a rug on FB Marketplace, find someone to stack my firewood, book my dental checkup, etc.)
- Run errands in your own vehicle (pick up my cat from the vet, return a shovel to Canadian Tire, drop off a ceramic sculpture to be fired, etc.)
- Generally help me keep my house and life on track.

I’m looking for someone who has skills and interest for both professional and personal tasks. The professional part is by far the larger proportion of the work and has potential to grow over time, but I need some help on the personal front, too.

This is a new position, and we would develop it together. Ideally I’d love someone who is up for doing whatever needs to be done (within reason, of course).

**Qualifications**
- Demonstrated ability to perform the required tasks.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with basic bookkeeping and financial management tools.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Flexible and able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., MS Office, Slack, Google Workspace).
- Reliable access to a car and a valid driver’s license.
- Reliable access to a computer and internet.
- Available to come to my house in Fairfield for ~2-4 hours/week between 9 and 5 M-F (we can work out a schedule that fits for both of us)
- Willingness to sign an NDA since you’ll be handling sensitive personal and financial information.
- Basic smartphone photography skills, and the ability to create and edit posts and stories (ideal but not required).
