Human Resources Coordinator

**Job Purpose**:
To provide Human Resources functions to the company, including administration, employee relations, training and development, organizational development, performance management, recruitment, and health and safety.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- General HR functions; collaborate with Management Team and employees
- Government reporting (Employment Equity, Pay Equity, Statistics Canada, etc.)
- Monitor all attendance issues for employees, including adjusting time, reviewing timecards regarding personal and sick time
- New employee orientation, onboarding
- Liaison for company programs (tuition reimbursement, safety shoes, uniforms, wellness)
- Lead apprenticeship programs, partner with educational facilities
- Support Performance Management program (documentation, workshops)
- Organize confidential Human Resources files / compliance
- Data entry of employee information / confidential environment
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation
- Communication liaison with management and personnel
- Comply with the OHSA regulations as well as company H&S policies and procedures
- Other HR duties and administrative tasks as required
**Qualifications**:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to create clear, concise and professionally written communications
- Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to set and meet or exceed deadlines, schedules and goals
- Works effectively in a team environment with people from various disciplines to achieve goals and identify and resolve problems
- Able to manage all confidential information in a discreet, appropriate and professional manner
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, power point and Outlook
- 2 years’ experience in an office/warehouse environment, and dealing with offsite personnel
**Educational Requirements**:
- Post-secondary education in Business or Human Resources.
- Working towards CHRL
**Other Education/Certification/Training preferred**: HRIS, Training Certificate, First Aid, H&S certified
**Technical requirements**:

**Working Conditions**:
- The position primarily involves working in an office setting, using a computer and telephone.
- Must be able to provide own transportation to and from work as well as travel between plants.

- Must wear PPE (company provided), as required for shop floor.
Pay: $42,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
