**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Director, Centre for Initiatives in Education (CIE), the Lifelong Learning Program (LLeaP) Coordinator is responsible for the operation of the Lifelong Learning program including program delivery and growth. With oversight from the CIE Director, the LLeaP Coordinator is responsible for program design including selection and modality of the content offerings to meet the needs of the learners, for sourcing suitable learning space, for oversight of LLeaP registration and learning management systems, and for the recruitment, selection, and training of lecturers.

The LLeaP Coordinator is responsible for the continuous improvement of the Lifelong Learning Program and for developing new initiatives that fall within the scope of Lifelong Learning. The LLeaP Coordinator supervises LLeaP administrative staff who maintain the Registration and Learning Management System and support participants and instructors. They work toward revenue goals as set by the CIE Director and work closely with the CIE Administrator and Financial Coordinator. The LLeaP coordinator is responsible for representing and enhancing the program’s reputation within Carleton University and our community. They work within the CIE communications strategy to oversee community outreach, marketing, and enrollment management.

**Qualifications**:
The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

- Ability to understand and synthesize research and theory delivered by higher education instructors to determine the best lecturers and topics for adult learners.
- Must stay abreast of teaching and learning best practices in adult learning and continuing education.
- Must keep current with best practices in delivery modalities, marketing, and funding models in this field.
- Must effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, funders, faculty, staff, students, community members, and media representatives.
- Ability to write procedure manuals, and reports. They may attend and present information at various public presentations and events.
- Strong knowledge of Carleton University and be familiar with the University’s regulations for risk management and other relevant areas.
- Must be familiar with a wide array of technical, policy, and procedural requirements to ensure efficient and effective planning and operation of the program.
- Sound knowledge of administrative procedures, data management, and learning management systems is required.
- Working with the Director, OD FASS, and Department of University Communications, the incumbent creates content and design of marketing materials to promote the program, therefore excellent written skills are required.

**Education and Experience**:
The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

- Master’s degree in an academic field related to education, education theory, or learning. Equivalencies may be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the development and facilitation of large educational programs, preferably adult education/continuing education in a post-secondary context with adult learners.
