**Appointment Type**:This is an ongoing, regular-status Providence Health Care (PHC) position (union-excluded). However, all research-funded positions are dependent on grant funding continuing to be available.

Bridging the gap between data, research, and care, CHÉOSis a collaboration between cross-disciplinary scientists and expert research staff evaluating the effectiveness of health interventions at the population level.

The CTNis a collaborative network committed to generating knowledge on the prevention, treatment, and management of HIV, hepatitis C, and other sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs) through the conduct of scientifically sound clinical trials, research, and other interventions.

From assessing the cost-effectiveness of a new drug or treatment option to informing policy decisions that change how care is delivered, CHÉOS and the CTN seek to improve health outcomes for all.

**The Role**

The Project Coordinator works closely with CHÉOS staff including physicians, epidemiologists, research nurses, research coordinators and assistants, data managers, biostatisticians, graduate students, and fellows. Under the supervision of Dr. Bohdan Nosyk, the Project Coordinator will assist in the planning, development, and implementation of a Health Canada-funded study related to substance use, perinatal care, and maternal/child health. What you’ll be doing:

- Coordinates research grant administration between funding agency and research teams
- Ensures projects are administered according to research protocol
- Coordinates and facilitates community engagement meetings
- Coordinates project team meetings to ensure well-defined and timely agendas, compilation of background information and supporting materials, and preparation of communication materials for knowledge translation
- Completes progress reporting duties as specified by each funding body including study progress and financial reports
- May assist in recruiting and interviewing participants, gathering and presenting data
- May serve as project liaison to other departments or outside organizations
- Assists in the preparation of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, PowerPoint presentations and other knowledge translation materials
- Other related duties as assigned

**Workplace**

The position will be working at CHÉOS located in St. Paul's Hospital and will be provided with appropriate workspace. Flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (in line with PHC and CHÉOS policy) may be provided.

This position is located within a healthcare facility. Therefore, this position requires successful verification of full vaccination against Covid-19 provided prior to the start date, as required by the provincial health mandate.

**Minimum Qualifications**

A Master’s degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Business Management, or a related field is preferred with at least two years of professional experience in a health research or related setting.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in coordinating research projects and/or grant-based programs
- Experience working with health agency stakeholders and community members
- Knowledge of research accounting and finance is an asset
- Experience in preparing publications, reports, and communication materials
- Excellent organizational, project and time management skills and ability to work with accuracy in a deadline-driven environment
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Theoretical knowledge in Epidemiology, Public Health, or related field
- Ability to use organizational and management tools (e.g. Excel, Asana)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative and passionate about advancing health research
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
