We currently have a **Regular Full-time** opportunity for a **Patient Care Manager II** in the **Ross Tilley Burn Centre (RTBC)** at our **Bayview** **campus.

**Hours of Work**:Monday to Friday; 8hrs; as per schedule. Some flexibility required

Summary of Duties

The Patient Care Manager provides leadership for the RTBC team in the Tory Trauma Program. The PCM leads each team towards their common vision and strategy. The PCM will facilitate and champion problem solving and decision making by the patient care team and will monitor and analyze the results of quality measurements and recommend solutions/changes to improve patient care and facilitate the achievement of operational and person-centred care objectives. The role includes creating a supportive environment for patients and staff which facilitates staff and interprofessional team development; managing budgets, material resources and focusing on quality.

The successful incumbent reports to the Director of Operations, Tory Trauma Program. The PCM is accountable and responsible for ensuring that patient care needs are met, and is responsible for ensuring appropriate competence and delivery of care. The PCM works in collaboration with Tory Trauma Program leaders and other leaders (Professional Practice Leaders, Advanced Nursing Practice Leaders, and Clinical Educators) and medical staff in the RTBC and Critical Care Medicine to ensure that quality improvements are achieved and strategic goals are met.

**Qualifications**:

- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Master’s degree completed
- Minimum of 3 years’ recent management experience in an acute setting
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Critical Care or related clinical experience is mandatory
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a burn and complex wound environment
- Proven organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Collaborating and working with the Office of Patient Experience
- Working knowledge of computers (i.e. MS Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of Critical Care Services Ontario (CCSO)
- Demonstrated commitment to Person-Centered Care and proven interpersonal skills
- A relational and transformational coaching and empowering style of management
- Proven leadership in fostering a respectful work environment, team building, conflict resolution and negotiation
- Demonstrated success in establishing, leading and maintaining positive change and continuous quality improvement
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, set and accomplish goals and objectives in a complex fast paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in an inter-professional team and collaborates with others in the delivery of care to patients
- Ability to work effectively and demonstrates composure under pressure/ stressful conditions and to meet multiple and competing deadlines
- Has knowledge of applicable legislation affecting human resources (i.e. Human Rights, Employment Standards, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Unions)
