The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board (KPR) offers a world-class education for approximately 34,000 students in 87 schools. Spanning over 7,000 square kilometers, across diverse rural and urban communities in southeastern Ontario, KPR serves the Municipality of Clarington, Northumberland and Peterborough Counties, and City of Quinte West/Murray Ward.

The Board is situated on the traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig Anishinaabeg people, serving three vibrant Indigenous communities which include Alderville First Nation, Curve Lake First Nation and Hiawatha First Nation.

The purpose of the Human Resources Coordinator, Organizational Development is to provide support to organizational improvements across all departments by evaluating and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

This position requires the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion as the duties involve working directly with various stakeholders and information, both internal and external to the Board, regarding highly sensitive and personal matters.

This position reports to Manager, Recruitment, Organizational Development, & Compensation

**Main Responsibilities**:
Conduct research and analyze data in relation to the alignment and success of the organizations’ goals and identify gaps.

Develop best practices to improve organizational performance and effectiveness.

Develop and analyze employee feedback surveys related to Organizational Development initiatives.

Collaborate across HR functions to achieve strategic priorities and provide integrated HR solutions.

Support with the planning and evaluation of the efficiency of business processes and procedures to embed service excellence in all operational activities, and makes recommendations for improvement.

Develop and facilitate staff training sessions related to Organizational Development initiatives in a variety of formats including classroom and online.

Assist with the development and implementation of various organizational development initiatives across the Board, including performance management, onboarding, employee engagement and succession planning.

Identify data collection tools, data sources, benchmarks and performance targets.

Administration of performance management programs and processes for designated client groups.

Provide project management and business process support to Organizational Development initiatives.

Respond to inquiries regarding staff development, employee engagement, and performance management.

Support maintenance of accurate organizational charts and job descriptions.

Other duties as assigned.

**Education & Experience Required**:
Post-secondary degree or certificate (i.e. university, college or technical training) completed in Human Resource Management, or equivalent education.

Human Resources Management Designation (CHRP or equivalent) is considered an asset.

Adult Training Certificate is considered an asset.

Specialized experience as an organizational development specialist is preferred.

Three to five years of related experience working in a progressive Human Resources environment (public sector environment is preferred).

**Specialized skills Required**:
Advanced level skills and experience in word processing, spreadsheet, database, report writer and human resource information systems.

Experience using Visio would be an asset.

Knowledge of adult learning principles and employee engagement concepts.

Experience with the delivery of training and instructional programs in a broad array of mediums, including instructor-led, online and multimedia training formats.

Knowledge of performance management and appraisal programs, methods and metrics.

A commitment to service excellence.

Excellent organization and interpersonal skills as well as ability to function as part of a team.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
