**The Position**:
Reporting to the _Manager, Skills Development_, the _Supervisor, Project Search _will be responsible for day-to-day supervision, organization, administration tasks and on the ground implementation of Project Search to ensure success of the Project Search team, host business site and the interns participating in the program.

The _Supervisor, Project Search _will support and advance interns involved in the program to develop leadership, employment and soft/hard skills needed in the current labour market. Facilitation will be in a learning environment focused on developing communication, self-advocacy and knowledge that are applied in the community and at work. In addition to facilitation, the _Supervisor, Project Search _will work closely with staff from the Municipality of Durham Region to support and provide on-the-job guidance and supervision of the interns to ensure accomplishment.

Project SEARCH is an internationally successful 10-month transition-to-work program for young adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities. The successful applicant will work in collaboration with community partners, teachers, and management staff to assess skills and gather data to develop individualized internships/programs using Employability Skills Curriculum as provided by Project SEARCH. This program in being implemented in partnership with Regional Municipality of Durham and the Durham Catholic District School Board. The primary work location will be at a location with the Regional Municipality of Durham Region.

**What You’ll Do**:

- **Assess and plan. **You will oversee, support, and supervise a team of Skills Trainers to guarantee adequate support for all interns throughout their internships. You will support Skills Trainers in prioritizing a caseload of interns efficiently and effectively providing creative and sound solutions to ensure success. You will utilize a client-centered approach to identify employment barriers, goals, and service needs to develop customized employment plans for individuals. You will plan, organize, and update learnings/tasks to suit individuals needs to ensure relevancy and success for each intern. You will be responsible for creating/maintaining the staff schedule on a monthly basis.
- **Deliver and evaluate.** You will work with all individuals of the Project Search Durham team to ensure smooth program implementation and delivery from all aspects. You will support and collaborate with all Project Search
- Skill Trainers to find creative solutions and on the job supports.
- **Support**. You will support interns, Skills Trainers, and the host business site in all aspects of the Project Search program. You will monitor individuals progress and collaborate with other members of the Project Search team regularly. You will be the point of contact for the host business site should any issues/problems arise during the day. You will collaborate with partners, interns, and families to complete necessary assessments, documentation, etc. to ensure that all data and information is up to date throughout the intern’s journey in Project Search. You will lead employment check in meetings with each intern and support the development of transition plans that clearly outline next steps to assist participants in their pathway to finding work. You will support interns/team members complete VocFit assessments throughout the program and ensure that they and partners are on track in all aspects of the program based on the Project Search Model. You will chair the Business Advisory Counsel and support all partners with misc. tasks when needed.
- **Communicate, collaborate, and foster**. You will build trusting and reliable relationships with all partners, team members and interns and their caregivers. You will always maintain open and transparent lines of communication with both Abilities Centre and The Municipality of Durham Region. You will participate and be responsible for running team meetings, debriefs and case reviews. You will discuss progress and provide constructive descriptive feedback to team members, mentors, and interns to ensure success.
