**Summary**:
Looking for an Accounting Coordinator to work as part of the accounting team. Ability to work independently. A motivated person with the desire to take on a variety of accounting tasks and projects.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist in all aspects of the accounting cycle and reporting
- Processing financial transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable by thoroughly checking and correcting the accounting and other relevant financial records
- Assist with review of HST submissions and calculations
- Assist in the preparation of all Government remittances
- Assist with Accounts and bank reconciliations
- Assist with supporting schedules for the monthly close schedule.
- Assist with the review of accounting entries including checking spreadsheets for accuracy
- Assist with auditing and verifying documents
- Assist with the preparation of monthly/year end financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
- Perform accounting calculations accurately; identify discrepancies and errors to resolve them
- Various projects as requested

**Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities**
- Accuracy in daily work and other projects
- Strong ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
- Ability to maintain good working relationships
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures is a must along with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles
- Good math and computation skills and ability to identify accounting discrepancies
- Excellent organizing abilities and administrative skills
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
- Demonstrated analytical / problem-solving skills
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada upon hire.

**Education and/or Work Experience**:

- 2-5 years of experience in an accounting department;
- HR and Payroll experience an asset but not required

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
