**Job Posting: Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Coordinator**
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) Program Coordinator will lead and support the DPIL program in Brantford/Brant County as a program facilitated by Kids Can Fly. The Program Coordinator will develop, plan, and execute strategic initiatives to expand and support Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program in collaboration with the Kids Can Fly Executive Director, DPIL Committee, and other volunteers as needed.
**Responsibilities**:
- Implementing the strategic plan for the maintenance, growth and sustainability of the DPIL program in Brantford and Brant County
- Completing all administrative tasks pertaining to the operations of DPIL in Brantford and Brant County
- Building on the existing fundraising strategy to obtain ongoing and/or repeated financial support for DPIL
- Identifying and building relationships with influencers and key decision makers in the community to support program growth and fundraising efforts
- Managing the local DPIL social media accounts including post creation and graphic design
- Leading monthly DPIL Committee meetings (with a focus on fundraising and outreach)
- Monitoring program effectiveness and making recommendations for improvements as needed
- Engaging in outreach events to promote the program to build the support community for the program and to engage more families in the program
- Advocating for increased support for the program with local funders, authorities, and businesses
- Providing recognition and acknowledgement for supporters of the program
- Providing regular reports to the Kids Can Fly Board of Directors on program progress and outcomes
- Working directly with the Executive Director on program developments and decisions
**Qualifications**:
- College diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field (education, nonprofit management, social service work, administration, etc.) _or equivalent work experience_
- Recommended 5 years of experience in program coordination or management, with a focus on program development and fundraising
- Experience working with community partners and stakeholders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Passion for promoting early childhood literacy and a commitment to the mission of the DPIL program
- Ability to quickly and efficiently learn and utilize various software programs
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work with a diverse and passionate team of staff, volunteers, and board members
- Volunteer coordination experience
- Experience managing business or charity social media accounts
- Strong writing skills, including spelling and grammar
- Knowledge of local resources is an asset
**Salary and Benefits**:
- Number of hours: 5-8 hours per week
- Rate of pay: $20-22/hour
- Location of work: Approximately 60% remote; 40% in-person meetings, with info fairs and other mandatory event attendance throughout the year
- Timing of work: Weekday availability required to maintain communications with the Executive Director and stakeholders. Some weekday evening availability required (averaging 1-2 evenings per month). Occasional weekend events.
- Employment type: Independent contractor role
- Longevity: Permanent, pending successful probationary period and dependent on maintenance of funding for position
