**Objective of Position**

We are currently looking for an experienced Glazing Project Manager. You are customer centric, focused and thrive in a fast-paced working environment that requires open & effective communication between multiple disciplines.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze architectural drawings and other documentation to successfully deliver projects with specification compliant products, on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
- Management of Projects for the full project lifecycle from Award to Handover.
- Review and issue shop drawings for client approval.
- Obtain and submit samples for client approval.
- Material take-off and ordering.
- Liaise with the fabrication team to ensure timely delivery of material to site.
- Site visits to review progress and quality.
- Cost control of material, labour, equipment, subcontracts, construction facilities, etc.
- Foster relationships with customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Selection of subcontractors and suppliers based on specified products and cost.
- Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work and quotes for best value.
- Prepare project schedules and ascertain labour requirements.
- Maintain files of working documents for back-up as may be required.
- Update cost forecasts at least monthly and escalate concerns where necessary.
- Prepare and issue Operation and Maintenance and Warranty documentation.
- Prepare any other necessary documentation as required for the project.
- Some out of town travel may be necessary.

**Experience / Capabilities**:

- Minimum of 2 years Project Management experience in the Commercial Glazing industry.
- Advanced Project Management skills that include good knowledge of aluminum glazing systems to effectively communicate with business owners, decision makers, engineers, product managers, project managers, engineers, and vendors
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, etc.
- Ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision while exercising great judgment.
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines.
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Field construction experience is desirable, but not required.
- Previous estimating experience would be an asset
- Good English written and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Canadian codes and standards.

**Education**:
Bachelors Degree / Diploma or equivalent.
