**The Role**

The People and Culture Administrator is a multi-faceted role responsible for supporting the People & Culture team with administrative functions. Your main administrative duties include hiring assistance, volunteer program management, maintaining employee files and documents, payroll support, a point of contact for HR-related queries and other assigned projects.

**Your Responsibilities**

In addition to sharing your ideas on how we can grow, learn and build in this role, you'll also be:
Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture, you will be responsible for:
**_People and Culture_**
- Maintains documents and employee files
- Administrative support for the Canada Summer jobs program
- Assists with the hiring administrative process (job postings, scheduling interviews, issuing contracts, and onboarding documentation)
- Help to schedule training during peak periods
- Assists with new hire set up and departure procedures
- Other assigned People & Culture projects and administrative duties

**_Volunteer Coordinating _**
- Ensures the purpose of the organization and its actions are clearly communicated
- Matches volunteers to opportunities
- Ensures volunteers understand their responsibilities and receive proper training.
- Ensures the purpose of the organization and its actions is clearly communicated
- Keeping new and existing volunteers informed about the organization and volunteer opportunities.
- Collecting volunteer information, availability, and skills, and maintaining an up-to-date database
- Communicates frequently with volunteers to ensure they are satisfied and well-placed

**_Payroll_**
- Assists with setting up new employees on payroll system
- Enters data or time entries as required
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**

**Experience and Education**
- A bachelor's degree in a field related to personnel management, such as Business Administration, Commerce or equivalent amount of education and work experience
- 1-2 years experience in the Human Resources an asset
- High-volume hiring experience, especially with ages 15-25, an asset
- Experience with HR software, like HRIS or HRMS, ADP Workforce Now an asset
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
