Lucian Matis Designs Inc., a Toronto-based womenswear design house, whose eponymous label features elegant daywear and eveningwear with couture-quality embellishment. We are looking for a bright and passionate individual to join the team as an Office Assistant. You will play an important role in supporting the team in executing daily admin tasks. This individual should be highly organized, mature, and capable of managing multiple tasks with different deadlines.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide administrative support to designers, operations, warehouse, and marketing.
- Communicate and work with clients, distribution, buyers, retail stores, delivering great customer experience, and to ensure deadlines are met.
- Assist the team with daily administrative tasks
- Answer and manage inbound telephone and client inquiries
- Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, packages, courier services, and other correspondence
- Provide support to operations in terms of arranging models, travel, fashion show events, foreign travel and accommodations.
- Assist with product set-up on our platform as well as internal systems
- Update inventory
- Prepare special reports, gathering, summarizing data, bookings.
- Process customer orders
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory
- Handle other general administration duties
- Helping organize and maintain office common areas
- Assist with troubleshooting back-end systems when necessary
Qualifications:
Experience in a similar role preferred
Mature, responsible, and is willing to learn
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
Able to work efficiently independently and in teams
Ability and willingness to work with repetitive tasks and keep focus and accuracy
Experience with Quickbooks
Experience with wholesale operations
Experience with shipping and logistics - UPS, FedEX, Canpar
Experience with booking travel, accommodations, models, photo shoots.
Past experience in the fashion industry is a definite asset
