**Job description**:
**Position Purpose summary**:
The Recovery Housing Program (Keystone/Cornerstone) Manager ensures that all services provided by the program are delivered in a manner that demonstrates respect for the individual, achieves the goal of providing an effective results-oriented recovery housing program, and meets funder/contract expectations. The Program Manager provides leadership and direction to program staff, including nursing and social work disciplines, and program participants. Care is holistic, based on a bio / psycho / social / emotional / spiritual / cultural transitional plan. The Program Manager ensures a smooth delivery of standardized programs for forward movement of all participants. The Program manager actively reviews transitional plans and case notes for consistent and rapid continuity and consistency of care with a recovery focus. The Program Manager actively and personally reaches out to Health care settings, detox settings, justice settings and community support agencies to build up a care network for the program. The Program Manager actively networks with housing agencies and operators as well as landlords to have opportunities for placement for participants.

**Accountabilities**:
**Supervisory Responsibilities**:

- Hands on management of two (2) recovery focused sober living housing programs, in two (2) separate locations, requiring travel weekly or as needed between sites.
- Oversee all matters relating to the efficient, effective, safe, participant-orientated operation and standard delivery of the program.
- Supervise all program staff and responsible for timely and effective recruitment, hiring, orientation, training & development, discipline, dismissal, and performance appraisals of all staff.
- Provide constructive feedback, build engagement, and hold accountability. Mediate staff disputes.
- Scheduling staff for coverage as required.
- Provide input into human resource decisions including hiring, termination, or disciplinary of staff.
- Provide support to initial intakes, processing, and orientation of new participants. Oversee the process of authorizing participant passes, disciplinary action, assignment of files, case reviews and case conference for challenges within the participants’ journey.
- Experienced and capable to build a complex care plan, a recovery relapse prevention plan.
- Oversee all financial matters relating to the program and ensure that services are delivered within budget. Ensure that projected income/occupancy levels are met.
- Oversee the development, revision, monitoring, and implementation of all policies and procedures relating to the provision of services.

**Program Operations**
- Ensure that the termination of services to any participant is processed according to policy and procedures, and that the dignity of the participant and integrity of the program is maintained.
- Ensure trauma informed and client centered care is being practiced by all staff.
- Ensure occupancy rates for the program are maintained at a minimum of 90%.
- Conduct classes and groups for the program as required.
- Ensure that frequent and ongoing opportunities for participants to engage in positive social and community activities are offered.
- Network with all agencies which is beneficial for continuity of care and to increase intakes to our programs.
- Be available for emergency, on-call duty to ensure that the program is adequately supervised at all times.
- Liaise with Spiritual Care Department as needed regarding support for participants and participants’ spiritual development/formation.
