**Description of Duties and Responsibilities**

The Manager is responsible for the overall planning and progress of the Recovery Orientated Housing Program. This individual is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Program. They provide experienced leadership strategies to ensure the effectiveness of the team members. The Manager will work closely with the Director to adjust the program as needed in order to meet contractual obligations.

**Finance**
- Monitors the budget in conjunction with the Director and recommends priorities.
- Reviews and approves staff time sheets, and time off requests in Dayforce.
- Approve staff leaves and vacation time.

**Administration**
- Prepares a monthly report for the Director and other reports and statistics as required.
- Maintains regular communication with the Director.
- Maintains active liaison with landlords’ community partners and funder.
- Ensures that program and staff are compliant with Accreditation Standards and maintain best practice.
- Assist Director with referrals.
- Attends Manager meetings as per funder contract.
- Responsible for tracking staff caseload debriefs, exceptional costs, and cheque requests.

**Personnel**
- Recruits, interviews, and selects staff as required.
- Ensures ongoing evaluation of the Spady Recovery Orientated Housing Program staff and is responsible for disciplinary procedures.
- Keep Director informed of any schedule changes or pending time off requests.
- Encourages and supports staff participation in training and development.
- Establishes and coordinates training opportunities for staff.
- Manage caseloads and assign clients to workers.
- Ensures that staff are following best practice and safety protocols.
- Manages flex time.
- Holds regular staff meetings as required to ensure good communication and morale within the team.
- Keeps the Director informed of any potential staff issues that could result in liability.

**Public Relations**
- Liaises with a variety of community sectors on an ongoing basis, for the purpose of advancing the profile of the Recovery Orientated Housing Program in the community.

**Position Requirements**
- 3 to 5 years management experience in a social service or health related field.
- Degree or Diploma in a human services related field_. _
- Willingness to take on a caseload as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to make quick decisions based on policy.
- Skilled in leading a team and building team cohesion.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of addictions, mental health, and marginalized populations.
- Demonstrated level of literacy and communication skills sufficient for job responsibilities.
- An open, accepting attitude.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check
- Familiar with the findings of the TRC and barriers faced by MMIW.
