**POSITION: FTTH Design Specialist**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Scheduling and tracking of large volumes of design / engineering projects.
- Plan and design fibre routes, conduits, and other design plans (FTTH & FTTx)
- QC work of yours and others to ensure accuracy with final drawings.
- Work with team to oversee projects from the beginning design phase until completion
- Mentor and train Junior Designers
- Liaise with construction crews and other parties to resolve any challenges.
- Additional duties as required.
- Ensure Design and Construction packages are completed by appropriate deadlines.
- Create and validate detailed Bill of material.
- Assist in obtaining of Road Occupancy Permits.
- Perform other tasks as requested by your manager.
**Required Knowledge And Experience**:
- Advanced user of AutoCAD 2D, efficient use of Paper Space / Model Space
- 3-5 Years Telecommunication design experience is mandatory.
- Experience with QGIS specifically is an asset
- Understanding of Utility and Telecommunications planning, design and permitting
- Diploma in Architectural Technology, Civil or Electrical Engineering is preferred
- Proficient with the use of computers and software, including MS Office (Word, Teams & Excel).
- Excellent time management skills.
- Self-motivated, ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Capable of grasping new concepts easily.
- Fluent in the English language, both written and oral
