**Network Specialist**
As a Network Specialist, you will provide consistent levels of organizational and technical expertise necessary for the successful implementation, maintenance and support of the critical network and security infrastructure services across Compugen's customer base.

- Responding to network event and incident escalations from the first-level support Service Desk, internal/external clients, and business partners.
- Performing root cause analysis with vendor engineers and escalation teams for major incidents and recurring problems, and implementing permanent solutions
- Assist in managing the team's incident/problem/change ticket queues in accordance with established SLAs.
- Execution of active and proactive network and security infrastructure configuration changes across the global enterprise
- Performing audits for consistency in Network Management Systems, documentation, and configuration
- Creating/improving support documentation and ensuring shift reports are documented and kept up to date for major network-related outages.
- Participate in 24 x 7 on-call rotational including evening, night and weekend/Holidays.
- Participating in meetings and training sessions to review and understand new technology and service deployment.

**Skills and qualifications, you’ll bring**:

- Computer Science degree/Engineering degree or equivalent in real-world experience
- College or University education or equivalent work experience
- 8 to 10+ years’ work experience in a large multi-site enterprise environment
- Two or more of the below noted Certifications are mandatory.
- CCNP, CCIE, CMNA, NSE4+, ACSP, ACMP, PCNSA/E, Aruba ACEP
- Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, including packet inspection/protocol analysis using packet analyzers for troubleshooting, is highly desired
- Sound understanding and troubleshooting capability of L2/L3 protocols
- Knowledge of security concepts such as NAT/PAT, IPSEC, SSL, DDoS, IP Spoofing etc.
- Excellent understanding of the OSI model
- Solid hands-on experience with network and security appliances/vendors:

- Firewalls, (Cisco ASA, Nokia Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet Aruba, and Meraki)
- Cisco IOS & NX-OS based routers & switches & SDWAN technologies implementation and support
- Experience working in and implementing ITIL 4 best practices
- You need to be a passionate team player, bringing dedication, commitment, and collaboration skills to work in our team
- Bilingual (French) is considered an asset
- This role can be based anywhere in Canada.
