**About us**

We are a group of family physicians looking for a medical office assistant to join our front staff. Our office is located conveniently at the Lawrence and Yonge subway stop.

**Receptionist/Secretary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining patient confidentiality
- Ensuring physician and administrative productivity by maintaining calendars; scheduling patient appointments; professional meetings, conferences, and travel on Practice Solutions.
- Ensuring office flow by receiving, checking in, and guiding scheduled patients and visitors; screening unscheduled patients and visitors; maintaining clinic room supplies inventory by checking stock and anticipating needs
- Organizing correspondence by answering phone calls, sorting and distributing mail, distributing electronic faxes, scanning paper and electronic records or faxes, and faxing and mailing correspondence
- Performing other related duties within the clinic may be assigned

**Expectations**:

- Excellent telephone manners
- Calm business-like demeanour
- Familiarity with electronic medical records with knowledge of medical terminology is an asset
- Work effectively independently and in a team environment
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent record of punctuality and attendance

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.50-$22.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M4N 3N1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
