Business Development Executive

This role blends elements of business development, RFPs, Sales, Proposal Management, and Inbound Lead Management for Custom Software Development.
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our team. As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building, and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our company and make a significant impact in the market. This is a salary-plus-commission role.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
**RFP Discovery**: Proactively search for and identify relevant Request for Proposals (RFPs) in the custom software development sector. This involves monitoring various platforms, procurement portals, and networks where such RFPs are published.
**Proposal Preparation**: Lead the process of preparing and submitting comprehensive, compelling proposals in response to identified RFPs. This includes coordinating with technical teams to gather necessary information, ensuring proposals meet all requirements, and articulating Konverge’s value proposition clearly.
**Deal Closure**: Engage in negotiations with potential client’s post-proposal submission, addressing any queries and clarifications to steer the discussions towards deal closure. This may involve presentations, follow-up meetings, and contract negotiations.
**Market Analysis**: Continuously analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and refine the company’s RFP response strategy.
**Relationship Building**: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the industry, including potential clients, partners, and procurement officers, to ensure early insights into upcoming projects and RFPs.
**Inbound Leads**:Manage assigned inbound leads through the sales process, client meetings, and estimate process.
**Content Collaboration**: Work closely with marketing to develop content strategies that attract quality inbound leads. This might involve providing insights for blog posts, white papers, and case studies that highlight Konverge's expertise and success stories.
**Desired Skills and Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a strong track record of identifying opportunities and closing deals in the software development industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare persuasive proposal documents and present complex solutions effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to understand and respond to RFP requirements, with attention to detail.
- Good negotiation and relationship management skills to interact with clients and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the software development process and the ability to work closely with technical teams to gather necessary proposal information.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience in business development or sales role
- Strong knowledge of CRM software
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to negotiate and close deals with clients
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for results
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment
