Join the Westcorp Team:
Westcorp is looking for an experienced accounts payable professional to join our accounting and finance team as Accounts Payable & Vendor Specialist.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Accurate and timely entering of vendor invoices, employee expenses and other payables.
- Manage a weekly payment run, as well as weekly quick-pays.
- Review and reconcile vendor statements: follow up to ensure payment.
- Vendor set-up and filing/file room management.
- Other duties as required and assigned.
**Knowledge/Skills Required**:
- Completion of an accounting or business degree/diploma.
- Minimum 2 years in an accounts payable role.
- Knowledge of the operations and procedures of an accounting department.
- Proficient in a variety of computer software packages, including Microsoft Office.
- Yardi experience would be considered an asset.
- Experience with construction and project invoices considered an asset.
- Ability to prioritize deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure independently and in a team environment while maintaining a high level of performance.
- Highly organized, results-oriented and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- High degree of professionalism and dedication to all stakeholders.
- Must be flexible and willing to change responsibilities as required.
- Security clearance required upon offer of employment.
