Crusaders Rugby club is a not-for-profit organization based in Oakville, Ontario. The club is the
largest rugby club in Canada/North America and provides inclusive rugby programming for
female and male participants from 4 to 74 years of age in the Oakville area. Our mission is to
promote and develop community rugby participation at all levels in a safe, affordable and
enjoyable environment.
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Communication Manager to join our team.
In this position, you will play a crucial role in promoting and enhancing the brand of the
Crusaders Rugby Club through various channels. You will be responsible for developing and
executing effective marketing strategies to engage our audience, drive community engagement,
and support the club's goals.
Job Description - Communications Manager
The objectives for communications from the Club are:
Raise awareness in the community
Promote club programs and events
Ensure that the messaging, both internal and external to the Club is consistent across all
- communication channels.
To have overall responsibility for the communications between Crusaders Rugby Club
and its
- stakeholders including individual members, alumni, sponsors and the community at large.
To promote the game of rugby football within the broad community through effective
- communications.
To promote the Crusaders Rugby Club and its activities on a number of modern
communication platforms.
Role and Responsibilities
To be responsible for the formulation of a communications plan Crusaders Rugby Club.
Then to
- be responsible for the implementation of that plan and it’s updating as and when required.
To work closely with the General Manager to ensure that news, events and activities
relating to all aspects of the Club are communicated appropriately
To form and manage a team with the relevant expertise in modern communications
technology.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 per week
