Anishnabeg Outreach is an award winning dynamic and innovative nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through various programs and initiatives. We have two centres of healing, a 10-acre farm, and a virtual learning management system called the AONest which delivers reconciliation, early years and senior years support, employment, and self-directed mental health support. We are committed to fostering growth, development, and positive change in the lives of those we serve. We partner with reserves, friendship centres, agencies, shelters, and some of Canada’s best-known companies. We also are committed to staff development and making the world a better place. As we expand our reach and impact from regional to provincial and national, we are seeking a talented, experienced, and motivated Program Manager to join our team and oversee key programs including our Reconciliation Farm Project, Tutoring and Sports Program, and the groundbreaking Healing Paths Program.

**Eligibility requirements**:

- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

**Scope**:
The Program Manager will report directly to the Director, Indigenous Partnerships and Wellness Services. The initial and main responsibilities will involve overseeing three distinct program areas:

- Reconciliation Farm Project: The Program Manager will be in charge of coordinating activities and leading a team on a 10-acre farm, generously gifted to support efforts against food insecurity and promote reconciliation by collaborating with community partners. This program may expand to support incarcerated women and the development of a farm school to teach Indigenous people farming.
- Tutoring and Sports Program: The Program Manager will oversee a team of staff and volunteers to deliver a weekly drop-in program for Indigenous youth, with one evening of work required per week. Flexible work arrangements can be considered to accommodate.
- Healing Paths Program: The Program Manager will collaborate with system agencies to pilot our Learning Management System. This system will provide valuable content on mental health, life skills, cultural heritage, and employment opportunities. Participants will also have the chance to explore their family lineage through this initiative.

**Qualifications/Responsibilities**:

- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration).
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in program management, preferably in the nonprofit or social services sector.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and implementing community-oriented initiatives.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and experience working with Indigenous communities would be an asset, especially for the Healing Paths Program.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and the ability to motivate and inspire teams of staff and volunteers.
- Demonstrated administrative management with supervisory skills.
- Knowledge and experience with program development and implementation.
- Excellent networking skills, and the ability to establish and maintain these connections and partnerships.
- Excellent written and oral communication, active listening, and ability to effectively communicate with staff and program scope of practice.
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, and respond to management direction.
- Demonstrated experience managing a variety of granting agreements.
- Prepare reports, meet granting deadlines, and manage budgets and reporting requirements.
- Ability to facilitate conflict resolution approaches and strong ability to problem solve.
