CARDON Group is looking for a meticulous and proactive Payroll Administrator to manage full cycle Canadian and US payroll processing for the CARDON Group of Companies. The Payroll Administrator will be the embodiment of our core values, possess strong communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Payroll Administrator will utilize three payroll platforms (ADP, Bamboo-HR, and Clarity) to ensure accurate and timely payroll administration. This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of payroll regulations and best practices.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Manage full cycle payroll processing for five entities, including one US entity, using ADP, Bamboo-HR, and Clarity; payroll includes salary, full/part-time hourly employees and reimbursement of units and expenses.
- Handle adjustments, compute and process wages, commissions, deductions, and non-regular wage payments, including the verification of earnings, tax withholding, deductions, benefit premiums and accuracy of new hire setups and terminations.
- Perform month-end payroll activities, ensuring proper reports are pulled and distributed, as well as processing month end payroll accruals.
- Manage contractor payments, including reconciling invoices to contracts, timesheets and expense reports.
- Assist with benefit administration and reconciliation.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll deductions to CRA and IRS.
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll summaries.
- Reconcile and prepare annual T4s, ROEs and T2200s, and W2 for US (Idaho) entity.
- Ensure compliance with all provincial, state and federal legislation affecting payroll.
- Handle WCB, Work Safe BC, and Employee Health Tax BC reporting.
- Implement payroll best practices to enhance workflow and reduce processing time.
- Maintain stringent internal controls and manage audit trails to ensure accountability.
- Communicate with HR and Business Analysts to ensure accurate maintenance of employee data, including pay rates, status/role changes, and new employee setups.
- Address and resolve payroll-related concerns and questions from employees or management.
- Perform ad hoc payroll/HR reporting and analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

- Certified in payroll administration preferred.
- Experience with a Supplemental Unemployment Benefit Program an asset.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with ADP and ERP systems an asset.
- Experience with US, Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan payroll an asset.
