About the Role

As a key member of our Financial Operations team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch payroll administration and benefits coordination services to support the growth and success of DIALOG-DESIGN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer payroll data entry and bi-weekly processing for salary and hourly employees.
  • Manage benefits administration, including GreenShield, RBC group benefits, and Manulife retirement savings programs.
  • Coordinate payroll administration, new hires, leaves of absence, employee changes, and terminations throughout the employee life cycle.
  • Prepare and reconcile bi-weekly and monthly journal entries related to payroll and/or benefits accounts.
  • Develop and maintain accurate document and records management systems, ensuring timely and precise uploading of employee information and supporting materials to our HCM system (Dayforce).
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records.
  • Respond to payroll and benefit inquiries from employees.
  • Collaborate with management on internal and external audits.
  • Review and post weekly timesheets and generate ad-hoc reports as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 4-8 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably within a multi-province mid-sized organization (500+ employees).
  • Prior accounting and/or bookkeeping experience is highly valued.
  • Certification as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) with the National Payroll Institution (NPI) is desired.
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian Employment Standards Legislation and experience with payroll in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Dayforce is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, is essential.
  • Ability to work discreetly and maintain confidentiality is crucial.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong prioritization and multitasking abilities are necessary.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy are vital.
  • Enthusiasm for working collaboratively in a fast-paced matrixed environment is essential.
  • Willingness to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days per week in the studio.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus an excellent benefits package that includes parental leave top-up programs, RRSP matching, medical and dental coverage upon the first day of employment, discounted memberships, and other perks.
