**Job Summary**
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Uphold the division and Olympia’s reputation and values, while promoting our motto “With Us, It’s Personal” in all interactions with employees, clients, and business associates.
- Verify and validate payroll information preparations and calculations, including earnings, deductions, and benefits.
- Verify and validate new hire information entered in ADP, such as bank information, SIN, and salary change.
- Process data-related payroll entries for all assigned employee groups.
- Submit records of employment for departing employees, including those on leaves of absence.
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial reporting standards, including statutory deductions, third-party remittances, and workers’ compensation, with timely submission.
- Reconcile year-end remittances to third parties such as insurance providers, share ownership plan administrators, garnishments, and workers’ compensation.
- Maintain all employee documents according to the formatting requirements pre-established and agreed upon by the team.
- Respond clearly and professionally to inquiries such as internal and external audit requirements, employees’ questions specific to payroll and their pay statement, and requests for reports by authorized departments.
- Assist and collaborate with various teams and departments on one time and ongoing projects.
- Flexible to perform various assigned tasks and provide administrative assistance as requested by management and executives of other departments.

**Formal education or experience**
- Postsecondary education in payroll, business administration or accounting is preferred, but may be supplemented with equivalent work experience (2+ years).
- 1 to 2 years of experience as an office, accounting or payroll administrator is required. Prior internships in accounting, administration, commerce or payroll will also be accepted as applicable experience.
**Specialized skills or knowledge**
- Prior experience with, or knowledge of, ADP Workforce Now or related platforms (HRIS, payroll, or accounting software) is considered an asset.
- Expert level abilities in Microsoft Office Suites.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Background check is required.
