**Responsibilities**:
Under the administrative direction of the Rector of St. Paul's College (SPC) and in collaboration with others at the Arthur V. Mauro Institute for Peace and Justice at St. Paul’s College, the Director plans, organizes, and directs the Institute’s operations. The Director provides leadership in envisioning how the Institute fulfills its mission as it continually evolves and grows. To that end, the Director works closely with the Rector of St. Paul’s College and the Institute’s Board of Directors in setting goals and articulating the vision of the Institute while also developing strategies and plans to meet its goals. The Director works with the Institute’s Business Manager to lead the Institute’s business affairs, including recommending and implementing an annual budget.

As a respected scholar-practitioner, with a track-record in peace-related research, this person is able to collaborate with Peace and Conflict Studies faculty and graduate students, and has a vision for the Institute’s community outreach agenda. This individual will be a member of the St. Paul’s College Faculty Assembly, work with St. Paul’s College management on fundraising and grant writing, and direct outreach projects managed and coordinated by the Institute’s Business Manager.

**Qualifications**:
Aided by a generous benefactor and others in the local and global community, the Arthur V. Mauro Institute for Peace and Justice at St. Paul’s College was established in 2003. St. Paul’s College is a Catholic College in the Ignatian tradition and formally affiliated with the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. The Mauro Institute’s purpose is to promote dialogue among the Abrahamic faiths, promote research, and sponsor outreach activities to promote international peace and justice. The Mauro Institute also engages with University of Manitoba faculty and students working in the PhD and Master’s programs in Peace and Conflict Studies and provides many scholarships and bursaries to these graduate students.
