**Your Mission**

As a Technical Sales Specialist, reporting to Contract Execution leadership, you will provide technical assistance to the sales team and act as a liaison to bridge the gap between sales and contract execution leadership.

This position is in-office to ensure collaboration with the broader team and can be based out of our Kelowna, BC OR Ottawa, ON locations.

A day in the life:

- Work closely with key engineering staff to continually understand the technical capabilities and limitations of the current product and services portfolios as well as the future planned development roadmaps and realistic timelines when new capabilities will be market ready.
- Support sales representatives with your deep technical knowledge of the product and service offerings. Prepare detailed technical proposals, quotes, and product documentation. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that proposals meet the customer's specifications.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to clients, highlighting the technical benefits and advantages. Customize solutions to meet specific customer needs, addressing technical challenges.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular follow-ups, feedback collection, and customer support. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, product offerings, and competitive landscape. Provide technical expertise to clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment of products with customer needs.
- Support engineering staff by ensuring they are aware of upcoming customer requirements and expectations during the pre-sales process.
- Key participant in various stages of the internal sales process including the Technical Review Meeting, the Pricing Review, providing input and review of proposals/quotes, and the Hand-Off meeting to Engineering.
- Monitor and report on sales activities, progress, and goals. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and sales forecasts.
- Post secondary education in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- A strong technical background in avionics systems, including an understanding of the development, verification, and qualification processes.
- Proven experience in technical customer-facing role.
- Willingness to travel
