**Job Summary**:
The primary role of the Human Resource Manager is to forge strong relationships with the employees, the management team, and contribute to all facets of the organization by understanding Metalogics’ objectives and aligning them to initiatives that enhance employee engagement and productivity. The ideal Human Resource Manager will have strong team development experience, who communicates thoroughly, consistently, accurately, and confidently. Strong leadership is essential, as are great people skills.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Focus on the employee journey and succession planning, develop strategies for talent recruitment & retention, leadership education, and employee development initiatives.
- Serve as the point of contact for employment relations and communicate with senior management.
- Establish, update, and maintain consistent HR practices across all recycling facilities.
- Manage annual pay and assist with performance reviews with reference to market data and appropriate industry pay levels.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Create, update, and maintain corporate plans for compensation, benefits, health and safety, etc.
- Travel to visit company recycling facilities proactively and as required.
- Maintain & update management guidelines by preparing and recommending HR policies and procedures aligned with company’s overall business strategy.
- Assist in developing Metalogics’ leadership planning process; support and participate in leadership planning meetings and ensure development plans are created and completed on an ongoing basis.
- Develop, update, and maintain on-boarding strategies for new employees, current employees transitioning into new roles such as supervisor, operations manager, or sales territory representatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Health & Safety Program**
- Maintain current, support, and reinforce Occupational H&S Regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure recycling facilities teams consistently follow the corporate H&S program and all relevant guidelines, including required training and monthly H&S joint committee meetings.

**Experience & Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR management principles and best practices
- Experience in team development with a strong focus on the employee journey and succession
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel when necessary.
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office, PDF creation software, etc.)
- Available for first escalation/on-call.
- Experience with managing employee benefit plans.
