Administrative Assistant

**Powell Contracting**, a division of **RSG International**, was established in 1967. With over 50 years' experience, we are the industry leader in providing Ontario with the supply and installation of temporary concrete barriers, noise barriers, crash cushions, guide rails, ground mount signs, overhead signs, and sign structures. Our integrated solutions and project delivery strategies improve project timelines and processes, generating increased capabilities for projects including outfitting highways, transit systems, airports, and municipal contracts.
Reporting to the General Manager, the **Administrative Assistant** will assist in the administration for a team of construction leaders. This will include managing administrative tasks, coordinating schedules, and providing support to various departments as needed.
**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the Executive Assistant to determine priorities.
- Assist in the booking and coordination of executive travel.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support including typing, researching, and preparing documents etc.
- Creating PowerPoint presentations.
- Organize and maintain files, records, and documents.
- Manage office supplies and equipment.
- Fleet commissioning and decommissioning.
- Assist with special projects, as required.
- Reception coverage, as needed.
- Assist in the coordination of company events.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the Company
- Other duties as assigned and/or directed.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum one (1) years’ experience in an administrative role
- Completed post secondary or equivalent program in Administration is an asset.
- Strong proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite, with particular emphasis on MS Excel.
- Experience planning and executing events is an asset.
- Effective oral and written communication skills complemented with strong client service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage a large and variable workload, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned work
- Ability to handle sensitive personnel information, confidentially, in a mature and professional manner
- Experience in a fast-paced environment is an asset
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment, as well as with cross-functional teams
