We are looking for a **Payroll Administrator / Accounts Payable clerk **to support our senior payroll specialist with payroll functions, and to bring passion by contributing to our Finance department with accounts payable duties.

This position has the ability to be done remotely or to work in one of our offices in Guelph, ON.

**Reporting to the Vice-President - Finance, Payroll responsibilities are**:

- Supporting the payroll processing for bi-weekly (hourly) and semi-monthly payrolls in ADP Workforce Now, and maintain supporting documents.
- Reviewing and auditing accuracy of hourly timesheets (bi-weekly pay), following up with schedulers and supervisors on resolving discrepancies.
- Compiling and providing support documentation/calculations for sister companies payroll.
- Supporting the Senior Payroll Specialist in the processing of all pay-related changes such as salary increases, bonuses, vacation and manual adjustments.
- Supporting the preparation of monthly payroll remittances such WSIB & with EHT (Employer Health Tax).
- Highlighting any key issues related to Payroll and follow up with ADP, as required.
- Assisting with vacation accrual calculation for admin and sales force staff.
- Working in collaboration with Human Resources to set up new hires, process terminations, job changes, garnishments, etc.
- Assist with year-end processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Primary Accounts Payable Responsibilities are**:

- Responsible for the accounts payable cycle; posting and paying select vendor invoices.
- Posting journal entries (accruals and manual entries) in our ERP system - Microsoft Dynamics.
- Conducting ad hoc analysis as required by manager.

**What YOU will bring to this role**:

- 2+ years in a payroll administrator role in a fast-paced environment (preferably using ADP Workforce Now).
- Experience in processing payroll across various provinces in Canada.
- College Diploma in Human Resources, Payroll or Business Administration is an asset.
- PCP certification or working towards certification would be considered an asset.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- You demonstrate professionalism at all times and maintain utmost confidentiality of employee information and records.
- Experience in a commission-based environment is an asset.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You are a self-starter who likes to work in a fast-paced environment.
- You are hungry for success, knowledge, and hold yourself to a high standard of work.
- Excellent computer skills and intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Bilingual (written and spoken) in English and French would be considered an asset.
