Job Title: Canada Regional GSE Manager - Alliance Ground International
About Alliance Ground International (AGI): Alliance Ground International (AGI) is a leading provider of aviation ground handling services, recognized for our unwavering commitment to safety, innovation, and customer satisfaction. With a significant presence at major airports across North America, AGI plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and seamless flow of goods and passengers. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Canada Regional GSE Manager to oversee and lead our GSE operations across Canada.
Position Overview: As the Canada Regional GSE Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Ground Support Equipment department within AGI's Canadian operations. This role is critical in maintaining the reliability and safety of our GSE fleet while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and direct the GSE management and maintenance teams across Canada, ensuring alignment with AGI's safety, quality, and customer service standards.- Maintenance Oversight: Manage and coordinate the maintenance and repair of all GSE equipment, including baggage tugs, aircraft pushback tractors, ground power units (GPUs), and more.- Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, industry regulations, and AGI's safety standards. Stay current with Canadian aviation regulations.- Team Development: Develop and mentor GSE personnel, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills, knowledge, and safety awareness.- Resource Management: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, tools, and equipment, to meet the operational demands of the Canadian region.- Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and management for GSE maintenance and operations.- Inventory Control: Maintain detailed inventory records of machinery, equipment repairs, and service activities.- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations and accidents involving GSE equipment, following established procedures and collaborating with local authorities.- Documentation: Oversee the completion of maintenance and repair documentation, ensuring compliance with Canadian regulations and AGI company policies.- Customer Relations: Foster positive relationships with airline clients and airport authorities in Canada, ensuring AGI's commitment to customer satisfaction.- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements within the GSE department.- Operational Excellence: Ensure GSE equipment in the Canadian region is available and operating at peak efficiency to support aviation operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in GSE management and maintenance, including a deep understanding of baggage tugs, aircraft pushback tractors, GPUs, and other relevant equipment.- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a strong commitment to safety and a track record of safety management in the Canadian aviation industry.- Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian aviation regulations and industry best practices in GSE maintenance.- Technical certifications or licenses related to GSE maintenance are preferred.- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.- Budget planning and management experience.- A willingness to travel within Canada as needed.- Commitment to AGI's core values of safety, excellence, and customer satisfaction.
