The Operations Manager is a position responsible for the coordination, implementation, and development of tennis programs and offerings at Summer Smash Tennis. Working in a collaborative and entrepreneurial role, the Operations Manager uses an asset and community based approach to maintain and develop partnerships with community organizations, schools, municipalities, First Nations, and government agencies. The Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operations, including program management, communications, scheduling, marketing, financial record keeping, and asset development at Summer Smash Tennis. This role ensures that all business activities, from seasonal planning to client communication to delivery of programs, align with the organization’s standards for quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**

The Operations Manager will manage partner engagement and outreach, including seasonal planning, organization and delivery. The Operations Manager will be responsible for human resources including coach coordination, volunteer management, recruitment, and onboarding. The Operations Manager will be responsible for finances, including payroll, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. They will also manage and update internal and external facing digital assets. Additional responsibilities include ensuring smooth information and equipment logistics, along with overseeing the creation and execution of marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and enrollment. The Programs Manager will approach all stakeholders and situations with care, diplomacy, and tact.

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Business, or related field
- Proficiency using the Google Suite
- Proficiency using and learning software for scheduling, communications, and financial management
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Entrepreneurial drive and self-starter
- Class 5 Driver’s license
- Clear Criminal Record Check

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Be a chill, smart, and generally capable person
- Experience in an organizational leadership or management role
- Experience managing conflict and adapting to changing interpersonal conditions
- Experience with corporate and community outreach
- Proficiency with Excel and basic coding
- Basic design sense
- Experience using and developing marketing tools
- Experience playing and learning tennis

**Working Conditions**:
The Operations Manager will work closely with The Directors. This position requires a combination of office-based work, remote work, and on-site presence for physical logistics and at programs and events. Flexibility in schedule is needed to accommodate peak periods, including evenings and weekends, in particular during the high-season from May to September.

**Hours and Compensation**
- Position Start Date: January 14, 2025
- Employment Type: Full Time*
- Annual Salary: $58,000-$83,000
- Part time: January 14- March 31, 2025
- Full time: April 1, 2025 onwards
