**About the opportunity**:
The Milk Supply Accounting Analyst provides analytical support to the department, plant operations and Operational Finance, and supports the Milk Supply Accounting Manager in preparation and analysis of month end results within deadlines. The Analyst plays a key support role in preparation of the annual budget and operating results. In addition, the Analyst executes special projects and requests related to co-packing activities.

**The attributes we are looking for**:

- Support Milk Supply Accounting Managers in meeting all deadlines, including preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, and other key reporting activities.
- Preparing and booking various journal entries in order to close the fiscal month.
- Communicate and work closely with the Operations Finance teams within the plants and at Corporate level to ensure accuracy and timeliness in milk declarations and accruals.
- Prepare the milk utilization declarations for several plants and submit to the Provincial Milk Boards within deadlines, prepare and submit sales and manufacturing data to Statistics Canada on a monthly basis within deadlines.
- Generate the balance sheet account reconciliations for the g/l accounts where the liability and payments are booked for the several plants assigned
- Produce the milk payment accruals for several plants, ensuring they are properly calculated respecting the milk payment standards in each Province.
- Optimize SAP reporting and functionality to facilitate timely identification and analysis of operating issues. Communicate with I.T. team to question, understand and implement SAP processes to enhance reporting performance. Update the activity types for the milk prices in SAP as needed.
- Perform audit activities including financial performance results. Communicate with both internal and external audit staff in preparing accounting data. Assist auditors in their requests to verify milk declarations or related accounting transactions.
- Generate and submit various reports such as the monthly organic milk usage report, butterfat usage reports to the Dairy Farmers of Canada and the monthly updating of the milk payments database.
- Review and investigate Milk Collection Profit & Loss line items, follow-up with plants when issues arise.

**What you will bring**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting plus a professional accounting designation or in a senior level of program (CPA).
- Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience including minimum six (6) months’ experience in manufacturing environment, preferably within Dairy Industry.
- Team player with excellent analytical, communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- SAP manufacturing experience with knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOMs) & Recipes
- Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Proficient with standard office computer technology including Microsoft Office products with a very strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to communicate and develop strong working relationships at plant and corporate level to prepare and present data for review and action.
- Strong problem-solving skills, determining root cause & following through to resolve issues, both internally & externally.
