This role will play an integral role in the internal operation and organizational strength of our company. Reporting daily to the Operations
Manager and overall direction from Executive Leadership, the Bookkeeper & Sales Support position will coordinate all daily internal and external payable functions to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. This is a full-time position based in Dartmouth, Nova
Scotia.

**Experience**
5+ years of experience in a similar role
Experience in high-volume or multi-entity AP environment
Experience with sales quotes and job cost coding
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.)
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines, while multi-tasking competing priorities

Duties will include but not limited to:
**Essential Responsibilities**
Prepare and send customer quotes & invoices
Receive and process customer payments
Receive, coordinate and provide associated supplier payments
Make daily collection communications
Maintain an accurate customer invoice aging report
Send statements to outstanding customers
Prepare and send customer invoices as needed
Maintain up to date customer invoice information in Accounting System
Coordinate as needed with off-site accountant providing required AP/AR information
Evaluate monthly Shipping Company invoices to ensure all costs are re-billed to customers where possible.
Prepare and maintain various reports as needed
Coordinate staff expense statements
Supporting stock quoting to customer as needed
Coordinate customer product shipments as needed

**Supporting Tasks**
Assist all staff in maintaining files and databases
Monitors office operations
Schedules appointments and meetings if needed
Serves as the go-to for office inquiries and conflicts
Tracks office supply inventory and completes supply orders
Assists in the preparation of department budgets and expenses
Greet visitors and answer incoming calls, directing as required
Perform other accounting duties as requested.

Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including protective glasses, protective gloves, and protective clothing and footwear as required by the job.

Respond to all customer requests in a professional and courteous, timely and responsive manner.
Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance at all time, meeting all Company standards for professionalism.
Keep the Manager continually apprised to assist in answering customer questions and problems when necessary.

**Work Conditions**
All locations offer clean, safe working conditions; however, the position may work in situations where hazards may be present.

Must be able to work well under occasional pressure or within work standards and deadlines.
Must be able to work independently and/or with others in a team environment.
Able to work standard five-day schedule, including daily overtime and occasional weekend hours as needed.
Meet all eligibility requirements to drive Company vehicles, including a current, valid driver's license issued by the resident State, and maintain current motor vehicle liability insurance.

**Physical Requirements**
Pass pre-employment background check, physical exam including drug screen, and meet all physical requirements for the position.
Able to lift up to 50-80 pounds occasionally.
