Purchasing-personnel Manager

Nutritional Management Services Limited is a multi-unit Food Service Management Company based in London, Ontario. NMS is diverse in our client base - serving Healthcare, Education and Business & Industry sectors since 1980. As NMS continues to grow, we are looking to add a dynamic member to our team to fulfill a unique role.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an office setting as an integral part of a team.
- Experience processing payroll an asset but not required - willing to train.
- Exposure to a unionized environment preferred.
- Graduate of a recognized Food and Nutrition Management Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics an asset.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The Purchasing-Personnel Manager is responsible for the accurate processing of purchasing and profit margin data, as well as maintaining accurate and detailed Human Resources records and processing of payroll. You are responsible for projecting a positive corporate image for the company while maintaining a cost effective and highly motivated working environment.
**Purchasing**
- Formulating and distributing monthly bidsheets containing pricing from our major food suppliers.
- Managing and enhancing company volume of food and supplies purchased.
- Assessing the profitability of each manufacturer contract while ensuring high quality products.
- Maintaining informative and strategic communication with Unit Managers to ensure profitability and the highest quality products and services.
- Updating Policies and Procedures for purchasing standards, order/delivery and equipment manuals and keep Regional and Unit Managers informed of best practices.
- Leading projects, data analysis and budgetary forecasting while developing strong working relationships with co-workers.
- Develop marketing schedule, sourcing and developing various theme kits and promotions for the accounts.
- Condense Supplier list to maximize effective purchasing.
- Negotiate new food and supply contracts in order to obtain the best prices and incentives.
- Liaise with the accounting department regarding supplier invoice pricing, volume incentives, and any issues relating to supplier payments.
- Generating monthly and yearly reports outlining the accomplishments and goals for Purchasing.
**Personnel**
- Lead the company recruitment and selection process.
- Maintain accurate and up to date employee orientation and training programs.
- Manage the employee benefits program.
- Complete bi-weekly payroll data entry.
- Participate in operational meetings with members of the team on issues which impact the overall goals of the company and provide strategies for success.
- Liaise with the accounting department regarding accounts payable as on information relating to Human Resources.
- Together with the President and Vice President, develop and implement annual Human Resources planning which address key business objectives.
