Are you passionate about guiding the development of innovative software solutions and being the voice of the customer? Riva is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Product Owner to join our team. As a critical member of our organization, you will be responsible for steering all stages of software development, from user story creation to sprint planning and product backlog prioritization. Your role will be instrumental in understanding business and end-user needs, setting expectations with stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality features and functionalities. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Product, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, the development team, and support and testing teams to drive the success of Riva products. **WHO ARE YOU**

You’ve had your hand in building compelling, innovative products that have made people’s lives a little bit easier, a little more fun, or a little bit more connected. As a product owner, you hold a high bar for consumer experience, possess strong customer empathy, a bias for action, excellent execution capability, and strategic vision. You are an expert communicator, making sure there’s buy-in from stakeholders on all major decisions and strategy and clear instructions and deliverables for the developers. Curiosity is a strong suit, and you pair it with experience and the knowledge of how to gather and synthesize customer needs.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

Reporting to the Director of Product Experience, a product owner at Riva is instrumental to the growth of the organization. Working with cross-discipline development and stakeholder teams, you will drive discovery, planning, development, and launch. You will work with appropriate urgency and will be able to motivate teams with your passion and vision. You are accountable for each stage of the development process and the final product. You will effectively communicate and build relationships across the organization as an advocate for the product to make sure goals are clear and vision is aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create a similar one for a product owner. Here is there job description: Act as the voice of the customer to guide all stages of software development, including user story development, sprint planning, and prioritization of the product backlog.?
- Working closely with stakeholders to plan, develop and provide product and feature management, education, and roadmaps to promote and showcase Riva products and services and releases.?
- Understand business and end-user needs; identify and prioritize features to be delivered to meet those needs. Set expectations with business stakeholders for the delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.?
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories.?
- Analyze feedback from sprint reviews and other data such as end-user feedback and operational metrics to identify and understand product needs.?
- Work with the development team to create acceptance criteria and definitions of failures and done.?
- Assist the team in the development of feature tests, test cases, and regression tests.?
- Planning, creating, and documenting the product features, release schedules, development efforts, and product roll-out.?
- Creating, modifying, and owning user stories and feature documentation; working directly and indirectly with customers and stakeholders to gather, define, write, and accept (user) stories ensuring the work life cycle meets the definition of done.?
- Writing, editing, preparing, and providing technical documentation and publishing them appropriately to our Knowledge Base and related sites.?
- Working with the support and testing teams and the developers to identify, replicate, confirm and communicate bugs and implement recommendations of bug fixes to the developer team for remediation.?
- Identify needs, gaps, or missing processes and workflows, either owning the creation and monitoring of processes or working with others in the company.

**WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE ROLE**
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Experience as an agile Product Owner/Manager.
- Experience with B2B SaaS products.
- Experience using systems like Figma to create clickable prototypes and basic working knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript.
- Product owner certifications (e.g. Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe Product Owner Certification) a plus.
- Ability to understand technical challenges and make educated trade-offs with your team.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
